Synthetic Sea Salt

There are an abundance of sea salt mixes available on the market. Our advice on this subject is to choose a reputable brand. Synthetic sea salt is not an element of your aquarium where you want to be cutting corners. Some cheaper brands of synthetic sea salt may have an improper balance of elements which could be harmful or fatal to your marine environment.

We use and recommend Instant Ocean Brand Sea Salt, but there are several other reputable brands as well. Speak with your aquarium store dealer to see what other good brands they offer.
